IRMA to expand wings: Start schools, centres of excellence
VADODARA/ANAND: Country's premier rural management institute the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA), for the first time in its history is all set to expand its wings by starting new schools and centres of excellence.
While IRMA will continue leveraging upon its core strength and brand image to serve its classic audience the co-operatives, these new schools will create knowledge base for newer areas, including producer companies, public private partnerships and Panchayati Raj institutions, while the centres will come up in areas of food security, nutrition and rural poverty.
Internships
Here is a piece of my suggestion for present batch of PRM graduates. I have given the links of various organisations where internship called summer placement also known as Management Traineeship are available.
Please understand these are not paid internship. But the organisation do arrange for Cheap accommodation and food in the country of internship. The internship ranges from 4 weeks to 12 weeks.
The person who is taking these internship should be able to spend about 35 - 50000 Indian Rupees. But it is worth undertaking these Internship. Because most of the INGOs and UN organisation prefer Interns who have out country experience. The starting salary of the most International Developmental Organisation is 3000 USD per month
Democracy Connect - Meet our young MPs’ young tutors: B-school grads from US
From “gisting” the Sachar Committee report to “demystifying” the Budget document or “explaining” the finer points of the Indo-US nuclear deal, they have done it all. Meet the team of Democracy Connect (DC), “tutors” to some of our first-time Members of Parliament (MPs).
Since the time it was set up in 2005, the group has been providing “intellectual input” on demand to our young MPs — all free of cost. Their “clients” cut across party lines: Sandeep Dikshit and Jitin Prasada from the Congress, BJP’s Dharmendra Pradhan, NCP’s Supriya Sule and MDMK’s A Ravichandran are a few names on the list.
