Dear All,
I am in Nasik for an official duty. I was about to have my dinner yesterday (25.11.06) at 11 pm when I received a telephone call from Kolkata that our beloved Sanjoy da (2nd batch) has committed suicide hanging himself on 25th afternoon at Chitorgarh (Rajasthan). I could'nt control my tears.
He was working with an NGO based at Kolkata and gone to Chitorgarh for an official work. He has left behind his wife and three very young children who lives at Kolkata.
Many junior irmans may not be knowing that he has worked at IRMA as an Administrative In charge at early stage of his career.
In the last one and half years, he was passing through a very bad phase of his life with tremendous mental trauma both in personal as well as professional front. He was trying his best to cope up with the situation. But his confidence level in both the fronts have gone down in such a level he could not really help himself to pull it up and had to finally surrender to life.
Although, I know him personally for last 13 years and had opportunity to work with him who used to treat me like his younger brother. I was quite aware of his situation and at times many of us tried to pull up his morale but we had our limitations.
His body is expected to be brought by Indian Airlines from Jaipur to Kolkata at 10 pm tonight (26.11.06).
I sincerely request all his batchmates in IRMA as well other close associates who would be interested to know more about him could speak to his collegaue at Chitorgarh (Mr. Omprakash 09460057825 at Chitorgarh) till today evening.
