The American India Foundation (AIF) was set up under the leadership of President Clinton with the mission to accelerate social and economic change in India. It works in 3 sectors – education, livelihoods and public health – both by supporting NGOs and by implementing its own programmes.

AIF has a strong and growing grants programme in education working within the UEE framework, where it supports NGOs working directly with left-out groups, communities and children to improve access to education and learning levels in both urban and rural India. Its work in seasonal migration is getting increasingly recognized.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation: Director - India

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation is currently seeking a Director - India. With extensive experience and insight into the NGO community across the nation, this leader will embody Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s desire to be a genuine partner in the work amongst marginalised groups. With over £1m of funding available to support NGO’s doing catalytic work, often below the radar, the Director will be as effective as a principled thought leader of the organisation as they will be visiting partners and helping work through programmatic strategy, design, implementation and assessment.
